We have all been given the same 24 hours in a day.  However we all have different requirements pulling chunks of our time away each day.  Some have to work longer hours than others, some are committed to fitness and others sports.  Some have children which require a lot of time.

Right now I am blessed with a flexible job.  I can exercise here at home which is a time saver. My children are all grown.  So I should have a lot more time than others, and I think that I do.

Why am I writing about time today?  Because God has given me a dream; a dream that I am very excited about.  But I am limited to the time I can spend bringing that dream into action.  I must tend to responsibilities first and the things I mentioned above.

But recently I was overcome with a huge sense that I was ‘wasting’ time on things that were non-productive.  Doing those things robbed me of time to follow my dream.

I remember reading once that John Grisham got up early each morning and wrote on his first novel before going to work in a law firm each day.  He had a dream and was diligent to follow it each and every day.

Do you have a dream? Do you long for your dream enough to let go of the time wasters so that you can follow your dream?  This last week I made a firm decision to cut out certain things that were not productive in my life.  I challenge you to do the same.

Follow your dream.
